    hello new poster,
have been reading forums for a couple of days now trying to find a solution to the 00GTP with 140k on it.

code p0102 scanned by my local auto zone right down the street, replaced MAF sensor(remanufactured one ) and did it right in the zones parking lot, cleared code started it up drove for 20 mins came home parked it went to go to work 11pm that night light back on ever since.

    Checked for vacum leak.
    checked wires.
check for blockage air breather, replaced air filter(stock)

any ideas would greatly be appreciated,
    thank you in advance.

Don't condemn a local parts store just because you got one faulty rebuilt part. That's why they offer a warranty on them. Being that they're remanufactured, there's always a chance that a few are gonna be bad. I had the same problem with a MAF I got from O'reilly's some years ago. Took it back the next day and got another one - problem solved.

BTW, over the past 3 years I've bought all of my parts from Autozone. The guys and gals that work at my AZ are always friendly and eager to help out. The employees at the other major parts stores aren't so friendly around here for some reason...

    Live and learn.

    Well good for you!
I don't base my comment from 1 bad part from autozone bud!, I live one block from the damn place and it was more of a convience for me to walk down there on a sunday to buy the part and replace it in my own driveway.

Did i take a chance buying from a retailer like autozone?..yes.
did i get the shaft? yes!
did it cause more problems then it fixed?, again yes.

I did not knock the people that work there, i live in a small town here in ohio and i personally know a couple of people that work and had worked at autozone, they have no control over what parts come into the store, they just sell them.

But you go ask any good mechanic and they will tell you: "we don't buy from autozone", too many bad parts.
Autozone might be local but in no way are they your ole time friendly mom&pop store like in the old days where the customer came first and quality parts were the norm instead of quanity.

AutoZone MAF's suck, period. Mine lasted less than a year. NAPA has lifetime warranty with receipt. Regardless of which store the MAF comes from it's been re-manufacturered. It seems that NAPA's supplier does a better job.

Around here it's the opposite. The NAPA guys actually work on their own cars. The AZ guys play with their cars. (Matchbox and Hot Wheels)
