Hello, I am having a time troubleshooting this one. 1999 Grand Prix GT non super-charged. If I accelerate slowly or moderately, my car does fine. It is only when I accelerate more heavily that I get a vibration in the front end. I can see and feel the hood, fenders, etc vibrate. Not brake related, as I am not on the brakes. If I get on it while I am moving, it does not vibrate. Is this a sign of a new tranny needed? The half-shafts are fine, or at least installed fully.

Not lowered. I am not sure if the axles have been replaced or not. Third owner. I replaced the RH outer tie rod end but problem existed prior to that.

i want to say that usually a front end vibration like that would be an axle. does it vibrate all throughout the RPM range or does it go away?

From a dead stop, it will vibrate the whole front end if I get on it too much. I let off, and ease the throttle....she does not vibrate. It is smooth at all speeds..highway and street. It only happens from a dead stop and if I get on it too much from the get-go. The tires are not spinning on the pavement or hopping. It occurs whether I have the traction control on or off. Ugh...thanks.

Sounds like either the half shaft...or worse...your input shaft.

Alignment? Worn control arm bushings? Never heard of an input shaft bending. When they go they go. And plus your stock from what it seems.

Ok, thanks. I'll try to take a short video this weekend and post it. Maybe that could help. Yes, I am stock.
