No idea so I checked my Factory service manual. It says:

    1. Remove the rocker finish panel to fender screws.
    2. Remove the rocker finish panel to rear quarter screws.
    3. Use a heat gun 6 inches from the surface to heat the molding.
    4. Hold the heat gun approximately 6 inches from the surface.
    5. Apply the heat for approximately 30 seconds using a circular motion.
    6. Use a small plastic flat-bladed tool to remove the rocker finish panel from the panel surface.
    7. Remove the rocker finish panel from the support panel.
    8. Remove the rocker finish panel support nuts from the studs.
    9. Remove the rocker finish panel support from the vehicle.
In reading the installation procedure it appears to be glued to the body:
Push the molding inward to fully seat the molding into the support and ensure a maximum bond of adhesive to body.
