I read the tech artical about the modding safely (good artical by the way lot of tips), what is the best DP to go with a top swap 3"/2.5 or just 3" all the way through to a stock cat back. Looking for info before I order the parts soon.

with the superchargers making these things torque monsters.. i would go 3 inch. they love to breath and i really doubt there is any difference down low as some people say there are. plus it would really help top end where these things need it
So your saying 3" all the way from front to back.
Im top-swaped and run a plog with 2.5" dp, KR free and a torque monster. Im saving for headers now, imo wait on it and do headers when you put on your L67 or L32 top end.
These are the things I need to hear the pros and cons thanks for the input, as for headers what do most think of the SSautochrome one's compared to ZZP's, I know there is price difference but what about the craftmanship in quailty.
I have some ss auto chromes. They are nice quality, but I did not get them to seal on the first time. I am waiting for a night this week that I can work on my car again.
3" DP for sure...
As for the whole exhaust, depends on what you do honestly.
When I had 3" DP, 2.5" exh, no cat, no res, stock Y, and mufflers it had a lot of rasp and a little bit of drone. When I went with 3"DP, 3" Exh, no cat, no res, custom 2.25" Y, stock mufflers... I have zero drone and most of the rasp has gone away. Sounds a bit deeper than before. Well worth it for sound and comfort for me....
I am still using the stock Y and can't wait to upgrade to minus the rasp. Another thing I have heard of people doing to minus drone is a small inline 3" muffler especially when running straight flow muffflers.
