    I just need some suggestions on what K&N I should buy when I'm just going to run it off of my TB. The current one I have is too long and impacts other objects under the hood (stupid me) I'm thinking a rather short and oval one.

    I have a 98 GTP.......not sure if you know this already or if it helps you, but they make a GM part that relocates your radiator overflow to the passenger side by the strut tower so that you have room for more things over there........if you would like I could send you a link for that part. I hope this helps. It makes things less cluttered in this area. This unit is stock for all models 99 and newer.

    Cone filter off the TB will only hurt you unless you are heavily modded. Relocate the coolant bottle and make a fenderwell.

    Seriously? Even with all the problems the stock intake has it would still be better then running it right off of the Throttle Body?

    the stock is still closer to the fender, not sucking quite as hot of air......neither are ideal.

    Yes. Seriously. But if you don't believe us put a filter on your TB and feel it die after 2500-3000 rpm's when it heats up.

    you need to be pretty heavily modded to get gains from an open cone, but when you get there youll notice a big gain in flow.
