    Hi Guy's,

I just bought a 2001 Special Edition Coupe last Friday and am really getting the itch to start the "Modding" but after reading a lot of posts i'm not really sure where to begin or what company to buy the parts from. I'm going to be doing my intake this weekend and i'm having the resignator removed next week. I want to upgrade the pcm, but need to know where to buy it from because some people say dont buy from ZZP and some say go ahead? I dont want to f*** my car up and thats why I'm asking you guys what to do? The last question I have that i'm a little confused about is whether to change the supercharger pulley? Again, I dont want to do any damage but I do want more performance. I know these questions have been asked a million times and for that I'm soory, but I just want to make sure that I'm doing things right. Thanks in advance for all of your help and I look forward to hearing from you guys!

    Davey

Don't buy a ZZP PCM, nuff said. Lost a motor to that thing. Get an Intense or Overkill one. Keep the resonator. They sound like ass without it. Especially if you plan on modding.

I swear...Bio...write up the sticky and show me what you can come up with and I'll add to it...so tired of writing this

First off...how much do you have to spend? What are your goals? If you want a fast Daily Driver then go with a basic 3.4" setup and be done...if you want a balls to the wall car then you have to give up something...MPG's, comfort, driveability...you get the idea.

I'd start like this...(Not counting any service needed to be done, I.E. LIM gaskets, Tranny Pan drop and filter change, new air/fuel/oil filters, oil change, spark plugs/wires...)

Prices that follow might be a bit off but just off the top of my head...

    180* or 160* T-Stat (Up to you) - ~$10
    Autolite 104 Spark Plugs - ~$10
New TDC Racing Spark Plugs Wires - Around $100?
ZZPerformance 3" Catless or Catted Downpipe - ~$150-$200
ZZPerformance Front Powerlog Manifold - ~$150
Flipped Stock Motors Mounts - FREE!!
TDC Racing Fenderwell Intake System or Custom Made - $50-$150
Green Bastard Products Ported Supercharger Housing and Throttle Body - $100-$150 plus your case (PM Reptile on here for that...great stuff)
ZZPerformance Modular Pulley System (3.4" Pulley) - $100
    TransGo Shift Kit - $100
    Intense-Racing or Overkill PCM - $100-$200

Then we kinda need you feedback on money and goals you have to further tell ya...after that though...I'd sell the Powerlog and Downpipe and go for headers...unless you want to start off with them and skip the PLOG/DP all together...I would if you have the money.

THEN, if you still want driveability, I'd get the ZZPerformance 1.9:1 modded rockers. IF that isn't fast enough for you get a Stage 2 Intercooler and 42.5# fuel injectors and drop to at LEAST a 3.0" pulley knock free. You'll be needing another tune now and if you still have the funds...get a tuner and learn how to use it...best thing you'll ever do.

If rockers ain't cutting it...sell them off for a cam...XP Cam was the best mod I ever bought

Thanks so much for the advice and the time typing the reply. So I with a new intake, autolite 104's and wires without doing the new downtube right now is it safe to run the 3.4 pulley? I just want a fast daily driver and I'm not afraid to spend the money I need but I dont want to go overboard either. I'm just really concerned that with 98,000 on the clock I'd be doing damage to the motor with the 3.4, but I also trust you guys and thats why I'm here. Thanks again for all of your help!
