Ok I own a 95' prix gtp, and the motor has a leaking head gasket. I know the bill is going to be huge. I've been offered a 97 gtp and I'm thinking id be able to get it for 1300-1500 bucks. The 97 is rusted out in many spots so thats why i wanna swap the motor out of it. I have seen it done alot on different sites and I know I need the PCM and wiring harness, possibly the front axles?. But wat else do I need, since there is no " how to " of this swap anywheres on the net that I could find. Would it be worth my time or would I just be driven far into the hole. My gaskets kit for the top end of the 3.4dohc is around 500$. I know the labour will be close to 1000 possibly..or am i wrong?. Any feedback from people who know what they are talking about on here would be awesome. I just don't know enough about this.

    thnx

Yep, that L67 swap page is a big help. I just about swapped my 1993 GP SE with an L67. I did all the research, made the parts lists and was with weeks of pulling the trigger... then I found my GTP.

Wiring will be the killer. You'll need pinout from your 95 and a 97. You might also consider upgrading to a 98+ PCM and wiring, its much better than the 97s. Just some food for thought.

IIRC, the CV joints have to be built with 3.1/3.4 axles and 3.8 SC axles. Sorry, I really don't have the details on me anymore....
