I posted this in the security / electronics section, but I thought I'd try over here as well...

    02' GT
Frequently won't start, Key turns fine but no cranking. Moving the tilt column up and down a few times sometimes gets it to start.
Battery is fine, (new Optima) and alt. is new.

If I stop the car and turn off ignition and then raise the tilt column getting out of the car, it's almost certain of having trouble getting it started again. With the key in the run position everything esle works fine..just no start.

I suspect a short in the column, but don't have clue what to look for.
Hints, tips, or experience with this problem?

    Anyone? Anyone?...Buhler?, Buhler?

Pull the dash off and see if there is a wire getting crimped somewhere...that's my guess...

Hey, I have the same problem. . . the engine wont even crank with a good battery and good starter, took off steering coulomb cover and took out parking solenoid switch to prevent using the key release mechanism. . . thought it fix both problems but only fixed key removal. I noticed that when i disconnect the battery and reconnected, it usually cranks. I always had a hunch for the ignition switch being faulty but if i can avoid spending 100 dollars that'd be kool. Maybe you can replace urs and tell me if im right hahah
