i love the rollers because it quited down my valve train. it also picks up better rpms down low when people say you dont really notice the rockers till high rpm. i can tell the difference all around. its got a smother pull all threw the powerband.

true i cant compare a 1.8 stock to a 1.8 roller but in generally the rollers are a lot nicer. the excess lift is nice at high rpm but that is true with all rockers.

the fact can be argued which one is better. i have rollers and i love them, even if they were stock lift. to me its worth the little bit of extra money to op for them IMO.

LSXHP, go for L76 springs (from the G8 GT engine, you can get them cheap at your local dealer) with 1.9 modified stock rockers. The L76 springs are better than stocks, but not harsh on the valve train like aftermarket springs nor are they prone to failure like comp cams springs.

Yup yup that would be correct, I know all about the LSX stuff but im tryin to learn about this L67 here...now let me ask you this, on the ZZP site it says the stock modified 1.9's are fine with stock valve springs yet you reccommend L76 (basically an LS2 with fuel management I believe) is there a reason to swap if I plan on keeping the stock cam? Car only has 67K on it so I know the stockers are far from worn out.

I would get new springs. It only takes one broken one to lose a motor.

Mine pull harder down low too than no rockers, but the greater gains are had up top. That's what they mean. Not that you won't notice anything down low.

The stock springs are "fine" supposedly, but as long as you're in there it wouldn't hurt to get a slightly stiffer spring. It's not expensive to do. I got my L76 springs for under $40 (they're different from LS2 or similar springs in their spring rate). You just need LSx style retainers to go with them, which are also cheap. If you ever plan on running higher shift points, get the L76 springs now. They'll keep you from having valve float. I'm running them on my engine now and they work great.

Because I've been in other cars before and after.

I've driven L67s plenty of times. That was one driving force to want to top swap. I don't like how the L67/L32 are pigs outside of boost with the low compression ratio. I can take the belt off mine and its still fun to drive around town.

Just saying, the higher CR is great. My name is Sabrewings, and I approve this mod.

I can't wait to get one of your ICs and drop to the 3.4. Car will be insane for a stock cam and DP/Plog setup.
