Hello i am looking at doing some mods on my 99' Grand Prix GTP and am wondering what to start with. I am a high school student so I do not have a lot of cash but what i do make is 100% disposable income. =)

I am wondering what mods give the best hp/dollar value. I have seen the stage 2 performance package on zzperformance and wonder if that would be a good place to start.

    Any help is appreciated. T.I.A.

depends what you want out of the car. if you want to spend a good chunk of money all at once, but get a fantastic mod then look into an intercooler from ZZP.

how fast do you want to go? how much money do you want to spend? there is no GOOD place to start until we know what you want.

^x2 plus the stage 2 3 ect. packages are junk and dont give you what you need. All I can say is pulley last.

All i really want to do is get as much performance out of my car for under $2000. I would hope that i would be able to get near the 13's after spending this.

with $2k i would get an intercooler, a nice set of headers, and the other supporting mods to go with it. that will net you easy consistent low 13s.

Yeah a summer job and no expenses = money to play with =)

WHat supporting mods do you suggest getting if i choose to go with headers and an intercooler.

Would you suggest a short stack inercooler or full intercooler.

3800 Performance's "Stage" packages are junk just like ZZP's. Don't bother. Read the threads here and learn more

The Short Stack is junk if you can get the Full Size then do it. The Stage 2 is great. If I had 2 grand and going that route I would also grab a S2IC, 3.1" MPS, Headers of some kind, get a tune...a intake (DIY), 180* T-Stat...

perfectly put. headers and a fullsize intercooler will put you easily in the low 13s consistantly, even in 90* weather. run whatever pulley you can with about 18* of WOT timing.

Yes my intake is the wiz-aired. I would get a FWI or make my own if I did it again. Once I start running meth I will probably go to open cone. That is down the road tho.
