Hey guys. So the other day I bought my downpipe from a guy and he just gave me this front powerlog manifold. First, has anyone got any advice on these? Di they work well? Good power gains? It is from zzp I know that much. Also anyone got any ideas on a gasket? I didn't get one with the purchase. Thanks for the help

The Plog is a good mod. That stock front manifold is horrid, so you'll notice a decent gain. Especially if it was free.

yea, it wont be a ton of difference in power... but hey if it was free thats always good! and it should reduce some kr as well... the front manifold is a very restrictive part of the exhaust. but if you ever really wanna make some power, buy some headers some day!

60 bucks for both? thats awesome, i have the same set up, not nearly as good as headers but stll many times better thans stock. when u take off the front mani, compare the stock to the plog, its and amazing difference.

yup 60 for both. Everything on my car with the exception of the smaller pulley was bought used. Saves me a ton of money. So the plog made a decent diff. huh?

I dropped a couple degrees of knock and felt a nice improvement over 50 mph. By the way, the PLOG was the easiest mod I think I have ever done. It took me all of about 25 minutes to take off the stock manifold and install the PLOG. When you take the stocker off, compare the two, you will see where the improvement comes from.

Yeah I saw the diff in the shape. Its pretty cool. Hope it works. I took off my stock downpipe today. Man what a pain. Bolts didn't wanna come loose. But I got it off. Gonna put the 3" on tomorrow. Can't wait. Does the bigger dp and not cat make a diff. in sound? How bout perfprmance?

Also I was lookin at mani gaskets on zzp's site and they offer a set of felpro and a set of gm gaskets. Which ones should I get? Or maybe neither?

Well I put my dp on today and man what a diff.! Feels much better and I just feel better knowing I got rid of that crappy u bend. Stupid design. That entire dp assembly is restrictive as hell. Also I like the way I woke up my exhaust sound too. I notice it the most at idle and cold start. Can't wait to put my plog on there

Yup...you'll notice a little bit more with the Powerlog and you'll see why when you look at the casting of the stock front manifold

installed mine earlier today, it could not have been easier. i couldnt get the heat shield back on, not sure if its supposed to stay off but it just didnt want to fit. i would say the hardest part of the entire job was getting those boots off those spark plugs. my exhaust is already somewhat loud since i dont have a cat or resonator so i didnt notice any difference in sound, but i do feel a difference in power. not much of one but its there, especially on the highway
