    honestly, i'd consider that the same thing...care to be more specific? i can be dense sometimes

    No problem,


    Cranking is turning the motor over trying to start it


    Starting is the motor is it being able to run. You're cranking the motor but it's just not starting.


    So if it's just not wanting to start then it is not the starter. If it's not wanting to crank then it's more than likley starter, Battery cable/starter cable related..


    Kinda make sense now?


    Maybe it was how I worded it.
