After replacing blower motor resister

That hose is for cooling the motor so yes it is important. I would make sure that your old motor and new motor are the same. It's possible that it was boxed wrong..

Thanks for the response, all I did was replace the resister, so I will take blower motor off and turn blower motor and make sure I can hook up the hose, I hope previous owner didn't replace blower moter and used a different year blower motor.

Yup, that's what I would do. If it was on before you took it off to do the resistor, it will go on for you, just got to get it right.
