My brother has a 2000 Bonneville SSEI and it has 144,000miles on it. I know thats prolly half the problems. But here we go PLEASE HELP ME OUT. It has a P0128 code.(coolant temp below thermostat Regulation Temp. We put a thermostat and Temp sensor on. We think that took care of that. It also has a p0131 o2 sensor circuit low volts(bank 1 snesor1)code, P0137 02 sensor circuit low volts (bank1 sensor2) and a P0140 o2 sensor CKT no activity (bank1 sensor2). The cat is hollowed out on the car. We are wondering if they make o2 sensor delets. If so where can we get some and how much are they? Also the supercharger dose not wine anymore and dose not feel like it pulls like it did i figure that is just due to the miles but he said today after he drove it after I cleared the codes that it wined and pulled like hell. Also the it just started today but now it likes to die on him. He said its random sometimes and he said it was sitting at his house running for like 10 minutes just fine then he hit the brake and it died. So can anyone please help us out.

    Ok.....

The first code is an o2 sensor code for the o2 sensor that controls the fueling of the car. You either have cut wires or it's bad. That's the only 2 things it could be.

Yes they do make an 02 sensor deleate for the rear sensor. Do NOT use one for the front.

The o2 in the front is likely the cause for the way it has been driving and the performance loss you have felt.

Will the o2 sensor burn out again pretty quick beings the cat is hollowed out, and how many o2's are on that car? Thanks for your input tho that is very helpful.

I also forgot that the car dose not want move when it is supposed to down shift. THe RPMs stay the same and dosent accelerate. I know that is usually the Cat but its supposedly hollowed out. See we took it to a mechanic and he said he hollowed it. Is there a way to check for that to see if it is or not other than pulling it down.

It's possible that you may get more build up on the 02 sensor. But that's about it. There are 2 02 sensor's on the car. The one that is on the rear manifold and the one that is just to make sure the cat is working properly.

We did just that and we took off the resinator and we had to hollow the cat out due to the fact that the mechanic lied to me about them doing it. But after all that guess what the same problem. Them i had a great idea check the Fuel filter and guess what. It was the orignal one 144thousand on it. Changed it problem fixed and the stalling out problem a loose battery cable. All good to go now. It still dose not wine when you get on it but it halls like a 3800 should. Any thougths on the super charged not wining or pulling like it should.

You can buy the supercharger coupler from INTENSE-Racing.com - G8, Grand Prix, Bonneville, Regal, L67 3800 Supercharged Performance Products.

Yep just take the snout off and you will see it.

No that has nothing to do with not making boost. It has to do with a rattling noise heard at idle.

Check you're map sensor connections. Usually that is the case if it is reading boost but the is none.

Either the electrical connections or the vacume connection.

Ok so the map sensor can make it not make boost or it just reads the boost

The map sensor commin unplugged or the vacume line from the map sensor comming un plugged can make it read boost when it has none and make the car shift funny ect.

If you have a vacume leak you are also running lean.

To not make boost? A boost by pass valve vacume line that is dry rotted causing a vacume leak or one that has come unplugged.

It's the black canister looking thing on the front side of the supercharger. Near the throttlebody.

Yes. All there is sealing it is a rubber boot that the rod goes in. I have an extra one if you need it. Gimme like 15 bucks shipped. Beats 30 bucks new. It doen not have many miles on it either.
