lookin in owners manual and i dont see a fuse jsut for the pump??? is there??
Moved to correct section.
no help.... =[
There's gotta be a fuse for it somewhere. I'd imagine it'd be kinda dangerous without one
If it is the pump it isn't too terrible to change.
i agree but i wanna know if theres a fuse or something before i start ripping stuff apart that isnt nessasary you know?
I can tell you, that its probably a pump from what you're describing. I had the pump go about a year and a half ago on my 02. There was no sound coming from the unit when you hit the squirts.. so if that's the case it's prolly the pump. It isn't that hard to replace. Good luck.
thank you
I have changed my pump, it is very simple but I still have no fluid coming up. also there is no apparent power going to the pump since there is no sound when pushing the spray button. Does anyone know if there is a fuse etc. that could make this problem occur ?
Try connecting power to it directly to see if its a power or pump issue
I think that the pump is run off the same fuse as the wipers if i recall.
this might blow some minds here, what given the complexities of troubleshooting an electrical device as complex as a washer pump.
step a --- disconnect the power plug at the pump.
step b --- connect voltage measuring device to power plug
step c --- see if voltage measuring device indicates 12v when you push washer button.
If you measure 12 volts when you press the button it's the pump. If you don't measure 12 volts it's the wiring.
Hint I --- get a pump because that is what the problem is.
Hint II --- take the right headlight out to do the above.
better make this a sticky so this helpful hint will be immortalized in a proper location.
My next contribution will cover how to get fuel into the vehicle. I know -- I know --- but I'm here to help the community.![]()
