Just installed S1X cam, started up fine, no problems. I notice my steering wheel turns but the wheels don't. So I assume the coupler came uncoupled when I dropped the engine cradle. Has this happened to anyone, and is it a big deal to hook it back up? Thanks.

you probably dropped the cradle too far and popped the shaft out. dont know how hard it is to hook back up.

That sounds like the same thing I did when I put my cam in and stuff. You'll have to remove/back out the little set screw/bolt that is in the side of the receiving part of the coupler before you re-stab it. It took my roommate and I like 6 hours to do mine, but that was after figuring out it had a set screw 5.5 hours into it... good times! The easiest way to do it is to set the wheels straight, un-bolt the coupler shaft from the steering box, stab the other end, tighten the set screw if you desire (left mine out), then raise the cradle up a bit, re-bolt the shaft to the box, then finish up.

Whatever you do, do NOT just spin the steering wheel while it's not connected. You will destroy the SIR coil.

got it fixed....PITA though. Next time I'm going to loosen the pinch bolt so that doesn't happen again. Except I left the set screw out, so it probably will happen anyway. I'll just have to watch how far I lower the cradle. Thanks for everyone's help.

got my alky kit hooked up..... just used the DO3 nozzle and windshield wiper fluid . Didn't notice any difference but it did kill the 1-2* of kr I was getting. Turned my timing up to 22* with the 3.2 before I got any kr, I think with more tuning I could get even more timing, or pulley drop.
