thanks for adding the link, I'm new myself and didn't know how to do it

ok i got it all back together Friday... i cracked the upper manifold though. i got the little clip for the wiring harness caught in it, right up the the left upper corner by the alternator, and it cracked cylinder one intake, and now it idles rough, and we've got a flashing service engine light...
what it was messing with me, was the primitive technology of the engine itself.. having the pushrods, and that i have to take them off to get the gaskets off.... of course, i was being naive thinking that it would be like changing the gaskets on my Legend. i have had the intake off that before, and its just a big piece of metal that sits on top of the engine, it isnt the top of the engine.. i didnt even know till then that the car wasnt even OHC...
but thanks for the help anyway.. we are going Wednesday to get a new (junk yard) upper intake for it, its $14.90 plus $3.99 for new plenum gaskets. so its not all that bad.. i just hope i got the lower gaskets sealed up good.
does this car have a 3800 in it? did you put the right pushrods back into the right cylinders, and torque everything together? not knowing what your doing could wind up costing your mom a new engine
