So I need DHP tuner to read the pcm, or dhp software to edit my stock bin? I was thinking i'd be able to open my stock bin from 4 years ago with hpt, then just save as hpt. Not so easy?
Ok, update. 1 bar map installed and settings changed for it in hpt. I let the car idle for 10 minutes. It kept getting leaner as it sat. Then I had a "duh" moment. It was leaning out with the IAT climbing temps. Looked back at my old logs and the IAT got as high as 140ish. I had a diy fender intake installed for years. Just a few months ago I made it a HAI, because reasons.. I thought I read that it was overall better. Maybe I made that up?
Anyways, I put my old intake setup back, did two back to back tunes and am not seeing it go suddenly lean in the scans. I'm just pulling fuel. IAT is just a little over ambient. When i sit and idle it of course inches up, but not like it did before. I just didn't realize I'd see such a swing in performance with the IAT's. Makes sense now. Also makes me feel like an idiot. If this is fixed, sorry I wasted your time.
Would still like to get my stock tune as a base and start over. I emailed HPT support and asked if they would convert my bin to hpt. They said, nope. Seems they thing i'm gonna reverse engineer their precious software if they do this for me. Whatever...
Emailed Dyno Brian about maybe buying his injector settings for sd 60's. I may or may not get them. He asked how much it was worth, i said 30-50 for me, and haven't heard back. Whatever...
