I wanted to avoid the main onstar wires because they tie into the PCM just to be safe I wanted to avoid those. My c5 Vette had a 5 volt wire in the mirror harness that I have no idea why. It did not have onstar I never did figure out what it was there for but i did use it to power a camera for years with no problems.Originally Posted by coolone
I don't believe there is a 5v wire there, but a simple voltage tester will show you which is which and what voltage... No need for wiring diagram
I have wiring diagram for 99-03 but would have to find it.
