Anybody know the trick to getting the mirror switch out of the bezel? I broke the 4 little flat tabs that I thought should just pull out, and it still won't come out.

I can't offer any technical help, but maybe some practical help...

Usually, before I dive into any unfamiliar territory (trim piece removal, door disassembly, etc.) I'll "practice" at the U-Pull junkyard.

    Agreed ^

I can break as many as I need to at the junk yard to refine my process and not screw up my car.

Way ahead of you guys. The one I'm messing with is from the junk yard. The bad part is said junkyard is over an hour away, so I'd rather not have to go get another one.

It's weird, cuz the switch has some play, but something is holding it in place, but the more I stare at it, the more I can't figure it out. LOL

Oh, and the reason for me doing this is I had to swap out the door lock switch a few weeks ago, and my buddy offered to help. He pulled the bezel from the wrong end and broke the tab off. And that is why I don't like people "helping" me.

Thanks Odi. I didn't want to pull to hard, just in case.

For future reference, here are the clips that hold the switch in place.....

They can't be removed with the switch in place, so you need to press the switch out, then carefully remove the clips (if you need to remove the clips).
