Try cleaning all the connections with contact cleaner and double check them when you put it back up.

Cleaned them, same result. Someone, on some forum, suggested it could be a problem with the ignition switch. The switch costs $90 and there is no guarantee that will fix it. KBB value is about $550. My internal economic calculator is telling me this car has reached the end of its servicable life. Since I expect gas to continue in the higher direction, I am looking for a smaller, more fuel efficient means of basic transportation. It does not qualify for "cash for clunkers". I think I missed the rule by one (1) mpg........... gofigure

Did mine the other day. Now a question , mine worked fine before I reassembled everything for a day then back to only working on 5 only and I did smell funky wiring thought it was the new burning off, but now won't work on 1_4, hate to buy another and do the same thing let alone taking that sucker out again on my back. Any suggestions on why it would burn up a new 1, fuses are all good and blows fine on 5 > Thanks in advance
