I'm a bit new on this site but since I get lot of information of from this site and another one I thought I'd post some work I performed this weekend and what I observed. It was actually near 40 on Friday and in the 30's on Saturday. My 01 GPGT 3.8 N/A had been having the usual issues ABS light and rotating hub/ axle noises. I bought it used in November with 70K on it and I figured it would need work. Nitro99 on MNClubGP helped me out by reading the code and locating the ABS sensor issue - broken hub wire drivers side. I also had a leak I thought was the Extension housing seal, turned out to be just he output shaft seal, and both axles where leaking grease. While tearing it down I noticed someone else had performed work on it as many of the bolts were loose. Both Axle bolts and a few of the hub mounting bolts were loose. I also found the ABS bracket was missing form the drivers side. It seemed like each area I tore down had some real creative work done. Another thing I noticed was who ever put the hubs on last time mounted them with the ABS wire in the wrong position and there by not able to use the ABS bracket anyway.
I had to order another ABS bracket, the parts guy at the dealer was able to get one shipped in Saturday morning. The first dealer I called basically told me to "pack sand" till next week. When I picked it up the guy had never order one before. It was only 10 bucks. But enough to stop my assembly to that point Friday afternoon. Pretty much how the day went one thing after another. So while it was up on jack stands with the passenger side done I installed some new Sonar halo projectors - ordered through K2Motors. I wired the Halos to the side lights as shown on this forum- they look pretty cool and are much better than the dulled stockers.
Saturday I got the ABS hanger, finished assembly aimed the head lights. Now the ABS issue is resolved along with the trans leak, failed hubs, CV Axles, new brake pads, and all the bolts are tight this time. I guess I will see how long these last - Timken Hubs with plastic clips and AutoZone CV Axles. I kept the old Axles so I could rebuild them if needed.

The next projects for a warm day will be the Intake manifold gaskets, installing a new water deflector I got from Reptile on, fix catalytic converter SES code issue, and to install the Transgo kit for for the 1811 code.
This forum has been extremely helpful. Looks like today will be a nice day to drive it around. Thanks for your help !
