Was going to flip the poly mounts today but noticed that whatever tech that took these off before used a different size bolt than stock on one of the mounts. It has a 5/8 head instead of the 15m? on the other side. Unfortunately, now I can't get the blasted thing off to put the dog bone back on. Do I just get another mount from a junkyard? I don't even see how to get this one off. Anyone know the right size for the bolt? If I can get this one off I don't ever wanna put it back on. I gotta stop doing these sorta things on Sunday nights

Did you consider an adjustable wrench?

It's jammed so tight. I had the correct size wrench and was turning it, but it won't go anywhere. I could feel heat coming from all the friction as it turned. Tried tugging it out with a clamp too. It's not moving.

I didn't actually flip the mount yet. It started twisting on it's own when I tried pulling the bolt out. I didn't even use WD-40 cuz apparently I'm out and didn't realize it. I've just been yanking on it and feel like I'm gonna break something.

Oh, I see it. Well, if you need to get to work just slap it back on. Should hold fine ..unless you're saying it won't go back on.

    Then that's a problem.

Use acetone or torch the rubber mount to get it out.

I only ran the left dog bone with the coil pack anyways with poly lower engine/trans mounts. It never moved.

My bet is: Go to the junkyard. Quit trying to flip the mounts and get a set of $40 polys.

Press em in, done and done.

Google Grand Prix GXP engine bay. The 303 V8 powered Front wheel drive Grand Prix only runs with one dog bone. You'll be fine with one.

and it's not even poly, it's rubber just like the oem in all other W-Bodies, plus the engine makes 50 more hp and maybe 70 more tq lbs. the LS4 is like 70 lbs heavier than the L67, so you will be fine driving it.

put the nut on at the end of the threads there to protect them, then smack it with a hammer firmly and squarely.
