My son in his 97 GTP, recently rear ended another car. Most of the damage to the exterior was cosmetic, but it was a hard enough impact to cause the air bags to deploy.
I was able to locate an entire donor car for $75. I can use any part from it besides the motor.

When swapping out air bags, I plan to change out the control module under the passenger seat. Does the clock spring in the steering wheel need replaced too?
Are there any impact sensors anywhere? I could not find any once i ripped the front end apart. I hate to get it back together, then **POOF** when i connect the battery back up.
Are there any other components of the system i should swap out while i have the dash out?

that module under the pass seat is all there is. clock spring is fine.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

    Thanks Man!
So just to verify. Once everything is swapped with the parts from a donor car, will the SRS system be functional as is (assuming everything is connected properly) or will i need to have a dealer reset it? I'm guessing not since I'm swapping the control module...
