I run mobile 1 synthetic in my car and I normally run a mobile 1 oil filter as well what oil filter does everyone else use? I'm not really sure if a mobile 1 oil filter is any good.

It's a wix filter, those are pretty much what all top filters are.

Why spend 10-15 bucks on a filter when a napa gold for $3-5 is just as good?? To me it's a waste of money to buy a K&N filter or mobil one filter, you are just paying for the name.

They are designed for 4-5k mile oil changes, they even sell a platinum filter for 8-10k mile oil changes.

If that's the case, this thread was pointless.

Fram and china made delco filters are some of the worst, among others I'm sure.

How often do you actually hear of a motor failing because the oil filter was the problem, very rarely. It's always an install error or the error of the owner for not changing it often enough and causing internal damage.

Like I said, anything wix is great.

They are the same filter with a different case. If they were both the same price I'd get the k&n for ease of removal because of the nut integrated into the case.

Believe it or not, the Fram Ultra Synthetic is one of the best oil filters for the money. Anything else Fram is horrible and should be avoided like the plague.

WIX XP Filter they sell them in stock at Oreilly Auto Parts on the shelf. Best filter WIX makes and is better than Mobil One which is a Champion Labs filter just like K&N instead of awesome Made in USA WIX. FTW
