Hi everyone, I'm trying to build a new intake for my GTP and have no idea how to actually attach the piping to the throttle body. I originally thought i would just use a coupler but after removing the stock intake tube i noticed that there is a weird "lip" that keeps it attached. I've seen people build their own intakes on here before but none of them seem to address this and I'm honestly clueless. Does anyone have any tips to get around this?

Use still use a regular coupler and just a clamp.

Shove it on there, it'll be snug and use a clamp.

I bought one from home depot, they are thinner and after like 1 year the rubber was cracking. So I bought another for like 3 bucks. These ones have a metal shield around them, just remove it from the clamps and all is good.

Okay, is that coupler just attached to the rim of the lip then? But it still holds well?
