Thanks for that. All vacuum lines look intact, plug wires going from proper cool to plug. Let idle for 15 min. Took for a ride. Stumbles like nobody's business and still no codes.

check your fuel pressure at the rail, theres a black cap on the front middle of the rail for the gauge.

should be 42 psi or more. key to on, and running. if less the pump is going bad. and of course, it will run poorly.

and what spark plugs you running? these cars HATE platinum plugs with a passion.

Will have to wait until my old man comes over tomorrow to check fuel psi. He wanted to know how it reved in neutral. Reved and held perfect. Next try unplugging mass air flow and take for a ride. Should go into a limp mode. Which it didn't. But no change in running. Next. Wait for pops to come with fuel psi gauge. And or install this new set of Delco wires sitting here. The plugs are fresh when we did the original header install 10 days ago. Auto lite 104 are the plugs.

did you take them out when you took the headers off and back on? if not one or more could be cracked.

its worth it to pull em out to look em over any ways, some times they crack on install.

what gap did you set them to? 0.50 seems to work best for most of us.

Will do that now and might as well put the wires on then as well. They are gapped at 55. And to clarify. They are copper plugs

    copper they love lol

older plug wires that have been off and on a few times could be suspect too.

Doing it now. Kid insist 55 is the gap he read on ZZP. Oe is 60 if I am not mistaking. They ran fine at 55 prior. Kids think they know it all

its best to play the gap game. ive ran my 104's at 60, 55 53 and 50, feels the best. 55 might feel better in your set up, every engine runs different.

    awesome news.

this was far from a run away thread. you should see how some of them just go sideways around here.

He comes back with a smile from ear to ear lol. Says second gear pulls so much harder. Small sri. Headers. That's all. Didn't think it would make that much of a difference without a tune. Stock pulley we think. What pulley should be safe to go to?

a 3.4 is the smallest you'll hit with out a cam or e85. needs to be tuned for sure. in car tunes are best.

run it on corn and you can run a 3.0 pulley with injectors and a better fuel pump.

or a intercooler will get you to a 3.0 most of the time too. also need injectors to get past a 3.2-3.1 pulley on 93 pump gas.

i just dropped the killer bee in like 3,000 miles ago. (my avatar makes more sense now) bottom swapped, ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, fsic, 42 lb injectors, custom fuel rail, sd headers. and im tuning it with dhp. little f er rips good now.

make sure hes scanning for KR. or your asshole friend chip shows up.

    killed the valve seat too.

I heard to check for KR. Seen someone say that app called torque pro can do it. I have and used it the app often. But not sure how to with it. I'll have to look into.
