Canada is extra anal about vehicle safety so you are kinda screwed.

I have no idea what you're asking, but I guess it would be the same way they prove you run a stop sign or jaywalk. They observe you and write you up.

I'm just trying to make the OP aware of a potential problem.

I understand you are just making him aware of a potential problem but cops hate paperwork so the chances of them giving you trouble is slim. At least around my neck of the woods thats the case

If you did get in trouble for whatever reason, disable mod and record a video of your lights in stock form and give it to the judge.

You guys are shot if you think cops really worry about your fog lights being on with your high beams smh. It's like my tint is illegal and my exhaust is loud as **** but that doesn't stop people from doing it.

    Screwed in general, yes. LOL

I've never had issues with my HID's, fogs, window tint, lifted vehicle etc, but when I did inspections years ago, we had a lot of vehicles busted for all of the above, so it does happen here for sure.

Laws are only politician scribble. I was never consulted on any of these laws, therefore I pick and choose the ones which I follow

It stays like that? Is there any way to solder at the base?

Okay thanks for the info man I really appreciate it but I took my chances an soldered it luckily it worked. I notched the plastic a little and used as little heat as possible then the little bit of excess solder I sanded off with a dremel and it actually sits in flat and all the way. It sits flatter then the fog light relay that kinda sits lop sided from bending the tab.

I didn't notch anything, just wrapped the wire around the pin and put the relay back in; been that way for 5 years now and all is good. I tried to solder, but I suck at soldering. LOL

To do it "properly", remove the fuse box and solder to the corresponding wires on the backside.

I just drilled a small hole in the base of each terminal, fed the wires through, twisted around the terminal, light electrical tape and reinsert.
