try a digital gauge from the list, one that shows min and max values.
if you entered GM pid's and you see Knock retard in the pid list and its highlighted green, it should work. best to search your pid list when hooked up to the car, anything green is working. whats not green is not working.
Don't believe the PID's work in the unpaid version... Is why you'll read '0'
The app is only $4 and well worth it.
where did i spout anything as fact? i merely offered a suggestion to use a real gauge.
maybe your jumping to conclusions like a butthurt vagina that i said something you didnt like and assumed it was a fact?
again as mentioned in the other thread torque app can only go by what the pcm says. so with that being said it cannot display wideband A/F which id highly suggest for ANY boosted vehicle. again opinion let me be clear its a personal reccomendation NOT a fact.
So the PCM isn't real? The Torque App is only reporting what the PCM sees... It's as real as any gauge you can buy.
congrats you figured out it reads from the pcm now what about all the sh1t a real gauge can do that is NOT monitored by the pcm? or how about having the ability to display wideband A/F? so that ummm a smart person could look at and say hmm the a/f is starting to lean out maybe i should take my foot out of the boost BEFORE knock occurs!
a real gauge is to monitor health of the engine BEFORE something happens or it sets a damn code if you want to use a torque app to read a code congrats your just reading a fault thats already occured.
being proactive and monitoring the engine makes a hell of alot more sense than sitting with a damn app reading a code trying to figure out what to fix after its already happened.
app works fine for a daily driver great pretty little screen to look at. for a modded car dont be a cheap ass and use a real fvcking gauge. if you cant afford a gauge maybe a person should reconsider mods in the first place!
to me its kind of like driving a ****ing viper or something on 4 donuts.... would it work sure is there a better way to do sh1t absofvckinglutely!!!
disclaimer: NONE of the above is fact....... lolololololololol!
Don't mind Tyler, he says this everytime a Torque Pro Help thread comes up, but when there's an Aeroforce problem thread, he's nowhere to be found. He doesn't like new and different things, he used to be the same way about anal.
Have you added the predefined set of PID's?
where are these aeroforce gauge threads that dont work you speak of or are you making sh1t up?
seems to me there has been at least 2 torque app threads here very recently thats why i laughed at this one. everyone in the last thread said torque was the greatest now what do you know this pops up saying someone is having issues. you all had to know id at least laugh at this mess too.
maybe tomorrow we should try decide what cam to use in a 3800 because there are already 485767375868 threads on that topic too.
Sounds like a d!ck to me. Yeah I bought the app it's a lot better then the lite version. I do see KR now, under WOT it showed 1. 8. I'm pretty much stock, just hp pcm n open cone.
weird ive never had issues with a real gauge not showing info...........
hmm just plug the damn thing into the obd port and magic happens.
here we go again.
i do not like zzp canned tunes or cell phone scanning apps or iphones or a2w interfailers or the state of california or the color purple.
just dont get butthurt when i laugh because the sh1t doesnt work......
trust me i know i work on magicic electronics for a living.... i understand electronics just fine hence why someone would use some app instead of a damn gauge boggles my mind.
like the other thread that apparently you missed does the torque app work WHEN properly setup yes however it cannot do a whole lot of sh1t a real gauge can. if you want to use a pretty little app to read a check engine light or code fine but i wouldnt trust my engine with it.
now let me be clear its an opinion.... nothing more dont everyone start to bawl i said todque apps are junk if you want to use them go ahead not my car no fvcks given but i can still laugh at you when you have issues......
What are you blabbering about? You're just making yourself look silly...congrats you figured out it reads from the pcm now what about all the sh1t a real gaugecan do that is NOT monitored by the pcm? or how about having the ability to display wideband A/F? so that ummm a smart person could look at and say hmm the a/f is starting to lean out maybe i should take my foot out of the boost BEFORE knock occurs!

Like any SOFTWARE, the app's parameters or settings are made flexible so you can monitor what you want. So you need to tell it what you want to see on the display, or multiple display screens. And the author protects his income by disabling higher functions (installing PID's) unless you pay to play. But there is absolutely no disadvantage to using the Torque app and BT dongle -vs- any gauge. I've been trying to get my boost/vac gauge to reset codes (like torque) but having trouble, maybe you can tell me how the real gauge does that O.o
lmao...
But for the record, I have used torque and gauges side by side and it reads just the same. Not trusting torque app to read what the pcm is monitoring and seeing is a counterintuitive statement and ridiculous because we know what the pcm does. And your gauges or torque monitors things that happen and report it, you SEE it after the fact, what do you propose you think you can do when you SEE something in either? You going into the pcm with a gauge and changing timing? Fueling? Lmao... Please stop, my sides hurt from laughing...
And oh, Toque resets codes too, so it's obvious, you never used it, seen it or even researched it and yet you speak about it...
Theres an an old saying that seemingly is appropriate here:
its better to to remain quiet and appear stupid...
than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt!
I said the exact same thing in the other thread about torque.
And Tyler, every time a thread pops up about an intercooler or the torque app YOU are the only person who comes in there cock swinging saying that they are junk and people should not use them. You never list any real reasons that they are junk and shouldn't be used, other than "they suck". You have never used either and have no clue how they actually work. Again, until you actually use either of them and have any sort of issues with either of them then just keep your biased opinions to yourself and quit crapping on peoples threads with your negativity.
Dude, really. Torque can display live information just like an Aeroforce. In fact it can show more information, all on one screen, and faster. Yes, on top of that it does pull codes, but that's a benefit. Woohoo. The Aeroforce can display a wideband A\F...you know what else can? A wideband gauge. You know what's cheaper than an Aeroforce, fits in one pillar gauge hole just like the Aeroforce, and displays a wideband gauge? A wideband gauge.
