I put a new oil pan and gasket in the 98 GT about a year ago, and figured I may as well change the oil level sensor while I was at it. Any ideas? Unlikely that 2 sensors are bad....maybe wiring, oil pan configuration, not sure? Anybody else have issues with this?

That is probably your problem. Use AC-Delco sensors on these cars for best results.

Hard to say if it's the sensor or an issue with the wiring.

I mean if it did it with a third sensor, then I'd be all on that wiring like a fat kid on cake.

I'm not sure how the circuitry works, but I know if it's unplugged it thinks that's low oil. The little ring that moves free had a little metal rod in it, probably a magnet that gets gets picked up by the center part of the sensor. If it's too far away it loses it and says low oil.

I'd check the wiring.
