Was working just fine, took off/disconnected throttle body as it needed cleaning and ever since the gauge has been going haywire. Sometimes reads empty, or full.. then graduates to correct reading after I've been driving a while. Doesn't stay that way though, it will move around as I drive occasionally. Anyone experience anything like this?

Stranger things have happened before but it seems the level sensor gave up on life at the same time you did something else.

Over time the fingers that run across the circut board on the level sensor break away and cause the issue you have. You can buy and replace just that part for fairly cheap. Under 20-30 bucks last time I did one, many threads regarding this issue.
