I got a spectre air filter to fit on the end of a tube starting from my throttle body just like a normal cold air intake and i went to go pull out the air box and realized that the computer is in the airbox... what did you guys do like where did you put it and how did you protect it from weather? I really don't want to get the K&N series 57 intake, because it is over $225 but, it is the only one i can find with a box to possibly put the computer in. Any suggestions on what i should do?

Lay it on the frame lol.

I left mine just sit there for years, even sold the car with it that way. The PCM is shock proof and weather proof. I mean it can get damaged but you'd have to throw it at the ground type of thing.

Put a piece of cardboard under it and wire tie it in place. You could also cut the bottom that holds the PCM out and place it back with the box all cut off. Or you could find a bracket in the JY that fits your PCM and use that or make your own bracket.

An S-10 PCM tray gives a little cleaner look, if that matters to you

I cut out a piece of plastic and used heavy unused rivets to hold it in position where the airbox used to sit, then screwed the ecu to the plastic. Probably been that way 4+ yea4s now.
