Does anyone have pictures or a video on how to replace a CV outer boot passenger side 1998 Grand Prix SE? Used a quick boot but that did not last. Do I have to pull the axle out or can it be replaced without pulling the axle?

Just replace the axle itself, you are just making more work for yourself trying to reboot it.
Axles are like 70 bucks now with warranty and boot kits are almost half that and you already have to remove it from the car to do it correctly.
I thought about that as well, went in to look at reviews on the axle you get from Autozone, Advance Auto and the rest of them, most received no more the 2.5 stars. Stating within a year they had to replace again so I rather keep the original and get a OEM quality boot. Thanks
I found someone local who serviced CV's. He put a OE quality boot on my 94 CS and it was perfect and has held up often. I think it was $25 - $30 for the parts and all. I took the CV shaft to him.
Okay guy's bought a remanuf axle from NAPA, having trouble getting the old axle off the trans. Any suggestions? tried turning it to remove it from different angles, bought pry bars but do not want to smash the seal.....HELP!!!!
Stick a pry bar in from the bottom and get between the axle and diff housing and one swift move and it should pop it out of the trans.
NAPA's reman and new are Cardone. From all the stuff I've seen personally, Cardone remans for the w-bodies are no longer good quality. The new ones are balanced true and very solid these days. Gonna get a new one for the gf. Let you know how it is in a few months lol.

Yep, The Cardone I got for my 94 CS was too long. After some research I found that is typical because they assume your mounts and such are worn changing the angle which makes you need a longer shaft. The quality of it was def below par. That when I took my 200K+ CV shaft to have a new boot put on. The guy who did it told me the OEM are the best as long as they have not been contaminated or damaged.
