My 02 GP GTP has a drop in panel K&N Filter and I've noticed that scanning with the Torque app and an OBD2 Bluetooth reader I'm getting up to around 2.5KR on a full throttle pull. I'm seeing <1 here and there and then around 60-80 mph there's a plateau of up to about 2.5KR. Is this considered normal?

I know that there is no "good" KR, but at what point does KR start to become damaging?

It's a case by case basis, but 95% of stock L67s have KR to some degree(s)

yeah me. 8* kr bone stock. 3 inch down pipe or rockers will kill that off for ya.

rockers and a u bend delete killed off that 8* too. no tune at that point.

I was thinking that might be my next move. A an air intake, whether it be a HAI or a DIY short one, then a SS Plog and a downpipe.

truth is there no HP gains from it, just sound thats activated by your right foot.

and the horrid sounds you hear from it when its ice cold outside.

I actually enjoyed that with the old GT, that and the "final breath" it takes when it shuts off.

    :P

But in all honesty, the Grand Prix isn't in that great of shape unfortunately. Front and rear bumpers are faded and losing paint, the leather seats have puckered up etc. It's low miles though that's a plus!
