i actually wanted to clamp the Gpack on like you did scott , but i bought the 2.25 band clamps and they wouldn't work with the 2.5 Gpack , so he just welded her up solid.

and if you have the factory pipes still you can't clamp it, it will never fit or seal right.

my cat back was replaced before i got it so all slip joints already.

yep ... the 2.5 Gpack was way to big. he welded an adapter piece inside before he welded it to the stock pipe.

It doesn't slip over the stock piping I have laying around. It needs expanded slightly I'll have to post pics. My buddy welded mine it wasn't as pretty but it's solid

Ah gotcha, I'm gonna go pick up a 31x2.25 tomorrow. Between the leak at the cat back flange and the straight pipe, the car sounds like ass lol

what i would do if i was you is get under the car and measure your res now, flange to the end of the outlet tube. buy a gp clost to that size

iirc you gp guys are like a 27 inch res. mine was a 31 ( regals)

you can use butt clamps and some copper RTV and get a good seal if you don't or can't weld it.

I measured when I put the headers in and a 31" will fit. And I'll probably have it welded in if the price is right.

still got leaks ? those U clamps shouldn't even be sold , they're worthless. all they do is crush the pipe out of shape.

it never leaked. the pipes blew apart lol

installed band clamps and they never blew apart again. my down pipe is welded now, so theres 2, 3 inch band clamps on the shelf worthless to me now.

Got the old downpipe out. Can't find the right gasket, the circle rubber one, i got the one that goes onto the resonator.

Theres just that little part of the bolt left on where it bolts into resonator, any easy way to get it out? I have a cordless drill, some drill bits, some easy outs. I got tired with it and quit for the day. Should I heat it up with my little 1lb torch, try to drill it out, or hammer it out with a center punch? Cars on jack stands, and do not have too much room.

the 3 inch one with the ring around goes to the manifold ...the ring faces the manifold ...any parts store will have 2.5 inch dp to resonator gasket. a good whack with a hammer and punch should knock it out.

Yeah I need the ring that goes to the manifold. I hate drilling bolts out.
