I just switched from my zzp 1.0 tune to overkill pcm and i am getting same mpg a bit higher temps on coolant and transmission as well as 2 to 5 knock cruising... Much more knock than zzps tune... My car also sounds a bit funnier when first accelerating before boost. I already sent my zzp tune to overkill im a bit dissapointed and dont know what to do.

probably need to fix all the problems with your car before you start tuning it. higher coolant and transmission temps have nothing to do with the tune. and your car sounding funnier before boost could mean a million different things.

No problems other than more mpg with zzp pcm. Was told that zzp was **** compared to overkill. Ive got decent amount of mods.

If all you changed were the PCMs, weather and driving habits remained the same, the fan turn on/off settings might have gotten messed up causing an increase in temps.....

Well they're two different tunes.. It's hard to say what ZZP did vs will to many factors unless you have the ability to open up. If you have KR it's time to further mod or figure out what's causing it.

Ok guys i guess im not explaining myself well. I have a 02 gtp with these mods when i got zzp tune 180 tstat 3 inch catted downpipe ngk plugs msd wires borla catback k&n intake sd hood. After the pcm i got a powerlog and 3.5 pulley. Never got but maybe 1 knock at full boost on zzp. I know zzp has a very high fuel allowance switched to overkill hoping to update more acurately to the 3.5 pulley and maybe gain a mpg but keep knock low and now overkill is giving me 3 to 5 knock cruising?! Mpg stayed same and temps are higher. And car is making a different noise wasnt there before

How high are the temps. A tune could affect those with pressure and fan settings. Get ahold of will and tell him whats going on im sure he would help. Any knock at WOT? Car will sound different as shift points are changed. If it sounds real funny then its probably not the tune and some other issue.

Switching tunes would have nothing to do with the car making a different noise.. Think about it and like I method two different tunes from two different companies.. ZZP method for KR tends to be add more fuel etc but there's way more to it.. Afr, timing etc plays a huge part.. I'm not exactly sure what your wanting from this thread.. Unless we can compare both bins in dhp or hpt we won't have much of a answer for u.

Did you disconnect the battery for a while, and give the trims time to relearn after swapping PCM's? I could see you getting some extra KR, if you didn't clear the trims and give them time to relearn. Higher temps could be due to different fan turn on/off points, hard to say without seeing the bins.

You normally don't have to do the battery disconnect to reset the trims, since they are normally wiped out on a full write.
Different factors IN the tune can cause the trans temps to be higher, like shift times and TCC settings etc.
The different noise you're hearing could be the IAC staying open, some settings cause this, and it could be annoying. If you're not happy with the PCM, contact Will, he's the only one that can do anything about it.

he didn't say if he switched PCMs or flashed into the same box. i sure as hell hoped he disconnected the battery to put a new PCM in.
