pulleys all come off with bolts, one maybe a t 55. the balancer you need a puller and the right bolts to fit the balancer.

bolt size is in this thread. http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...a-crank-sensor

balancer only has to come off if your changing the front cover gasket.

I was talking if I was to paint it
Did you use the wire wheel before or after spraying it with brake cleaner

I just got some of the gaskets
I will post a pic later

Ok so this is where I am at, my air compressor s**ks it comes on a few seconds after I turn the air grinder on

This is the first package I received in the mail, waiting for the rest

If I am to replace this ones, I have to remove the top of the engine right
    S/C and all
Do I need to change them?
    Should I
I was going to paint the engine, but I think I am just going to clean it for now
Unless I get a better air compressor

Get that oil filter adapter clean of the gasket and get the spring/cup back in there with it on before you have too much dust blowing around.

To replace the LIM's (in your picture) you need to pull off the charger, then the lower intake manifold (LIM). Clean things up well and don't get crap into the valley (if you do..rinse it with oil).

When you resinstall it all. Torque your 12 3/8" LIM bolts to 15ft lbs. SC bolts 10mm get torqued to 17ft lbs.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

But should I replace the LIMs?
If so, when I take the S/C off do I need new gaskets for the S/C

If the current LIM gaskets on the motor are black in color, then yes change them. And yes, I always suggest a new gasket for the SC as well.

Yes.. start from the inside and work outward.

I usually put all bolts in, then barely snug them.. go a bit further..then torque to spec.

BTW.. clean your LIM bolts and put a sealant like teflon paste on them.

That plugged coolant port is normal. Put some towel or rag in the valley and clean it out. If you look at the LIM, you'll notice that is plugged as well. So the crud builds up there.

I am back, so I just got another box with gaskets and O-rings this one it says its for the oil pan
But it doesn't look like the one that is inside the pan
    Take a look
This is what I got in the box

And this is what it looks inside the engine(could not get it off)

Looks like the one inside is aluminum
Now that I took the bolts off do they need to be torqued or just tightened
one more thing before I forget, this O-rings that came with the LIM gaskets are they for the injectors

    There are 6 of them

do you have a AL pan? if thats what im looking at you dont use that pan gasket at all.

the oil pump gasket id not bother changing that one.

to get the pan off the pump you snake the pump through the hole in the windage tray built in the pan. you have to lift it and slide it to the side and lift some more.

then you just use grey rtv on the pan and bolt it down.

yes injector O rings for the lim side of the injectors. the other black o rings are coolant elbow o rings, red one is the t stat rubber ring and gasket, and the orange ones look like coolant ports o rings.

AL pans do not use a real gasket.

    They are a RTV gasket.
