I think we have another Tim Mcullum on our hands.
no after replacing the knock sensors it's not getting KR at idle or just cruising.
the car runs awsome, idles fine runs fine just runs like there is no supercharger belt.
and once again it's a mechanical aftermarket gauge, and the Tapp reading the MAP.
i already answered your question about building boost. I've sprayed it down used propane, smoke test all that.
Double check all your vac lines for leaks as Tyler has suggested you do, check the entire line, and also check all fittings and T's. Also make sure your vac lies are routed correctly, they should look something like this.

You said you made alignment marks on the MPS ans shaft. It said you noticed for sure it was slipping on the shaft as the marks were not aligned.
If it's a gen3 , snouts should be dime a dozen. Grab another one
Your doing a fine job blowing up the thread. Go ahead and tell the mods, apparently they haven't a clue as to what's going on either. Bill, Scotty all asked the questions you are asking and I changed parts based on their advice. And you will notice that the thread just goes dead, either because people forget or have no clue what it could be either.
FINALLY something sort of almost useful.... car has an 04 pcm so id assume its got a gen5 sc on it correct? on a gen5 a 3.4 on a otherwise stock engine isn't going to live for long. So now let me ask.
What other mods does it have if any?
Previous threads about knock sensors makes me think the car knocked like hell because its a gen5 with a 3.4 on a likely stock engine. Engine knocked and now you have a chipped piston or toasted bottom end. Also which would cause the timing issues because the computer is constantly changing timing to keep the engine running and not knocking.
Gets into boost then lays over and pulls timing and go into reduced engine power. Is there a light on the dash that says "reduced engine power" AKA limp mode....
Sounds like this engines toast and the computer is doing everything it can to make it idle and half-ass run.
Goes rich when you floor it? Likely because its trying to add fuel to drown out the KNOCK!
Don't you see how all these issues are related?
Gee are we actually getting somewhere now?
BTW im not some random asshat troll im trying to help you guy and many members on here have my phone number personally through out the years and ive bought and sold thousands of dollars worth of parts on here even a few cars as well as owned 8 wbodies......... *self disclaimer* LOL!
its a gen V on an 05', I do have several gen 3's but I would have to make an adapter and I saw a genV in the junkyard, I'm going to try to get it Saturday morning and hope it's there.
BTW the supercharger spins fine. I even inserted a dowel into the inlet and tried to turn the puppy by hand and it was tight. There isn't much play just normal for a solid coupler.
Sounds like you've tried most obvious things: Vacuum leak, pcm, etc.
I would get that gen5 if you can and throw it on. Might cost you a little money and half a day, but then you'll know if that's been part of you problem all along. I know you don't want to just throw money/parts at it but at this point this might be the next step.
So with the sc belt off , does the car still pull like schit ?
with the belt off, flick the pulley back and forth with your hand. Should feel tight , not clanky
I'm going to have to agree with what Tyler said though, previous owner ****ed it up and sold it knowing he did and dumped his issues on J57ltr.
And at this point if I was you I would get onto a computer and try and combine all your other threads talking about this same issue into one thread and pretty much give us the cliff note version of each thread in the main posting with links to your old threads so we have that info and have a mod close all your old threads so that people only respond to your new one and not one of the 5-6, I'm guessing, other ones.
That's BS every other thread I started ended after I posted the information asked for. I posted DETAILED information in those threads. If you really wanted to help you would be reading them.
Crazy, I marked the plastic plug and the pulley, I think it is just vibrating around now, although I swear before I put the 3.8" on it that the 3.6" the shaft stuck out from the hub about 1/16" now it's flush.
No, it's not our responsibility to read through all your old threads to find out what you have done or have not done that is your responsibility to tell us what you have or have not done in the first post of your thread so it is easier for us to help you. You ****ing dumbass.
You marked the plastic plug and the pulley not the shaft? The plastic plug is going to move just fyi.

Let's organize a list of things checked.
Belt off - move pulley back and forth
are you saying you have other MPS pulleys or are you using press-on pulleys and a pulley tool?
Thats an idea, I'll do that.
As as far as the engine being toast. That is the dumbest idea ever. There is nothing wrong with the engine the balance rate is perfect, the pulse rate is balanced, the car has some power just no boost. I put the car Totally back to stock. With the exception of the exhaust. I'll borrow a bore scope and take a look. Compression test was 180 on all cylinders.
I did read them guy your lack of info coming back AFTER you changed or replaced whatever was being mentioned ended up killing the threads so instead you continue to make multiple threads.......
Detailed info lol you can stop right there when the random timing issue was mentioned in this thread. Where was that mentioned previously?
CONSISTENCY is key here and your all over the place so again, go pull the heads and see if the bottom end is toast. AKA chipped piston likely.
Umm speaking of have you even pulled the damn plugs out of the car and checked those? Hmm I don't recall that being metioned either. If I had a car that had knock issues or knock sensor issues 1st thing id do is pull the damn plugs and see how them look. But hey what do I know?
Forget about the vac leak forget about any kind of sc issue,
A. knock sensor issues, very highly unlikely the sensors are lying to you.....
B. Pulling timing, beccasue its knocking and computer is compensating....
C. Goes rich because its adding fuel to drown out the knock.....
All those symptoms STILL lead me to believe the engine is a paper weight!
Go pull the damn plugs and post some pics then pull the heads and post some more pics!........
