l32/l67 are low compression blocks. it will be a super dog.

id run the l32 sc, get a adapter plate for the tb then get a tuned pcm for it.

Thought I'd let you guys know , the 97 was up and going with the 07 trans ! I just pulled the end cover off each trans and swapped upper halves . That and changed the the plug out and bam , that worked. It wasn't a hard task at all , considering I've never been inside of a trans before in my life . Upon doing this I discovered the clutches were burned up in the 97 , which was why it was messed up . Just thought I'd let you all know what it took to get it to work .

Yessir , I'm stoked about it . Still have a few minor things to do , like it needs an ignition , however for now I'll just use screwdrivers to start it . Also a fuel line broke , and I need to bleed the brakes, and I think I finally got the vacuum lines figured out . Tomorrow I will take it out and see how it does .

You should have taken pics of what you did and made a write up. AFAIK you are the first person who got this to work without having to tune.

I didn't even think to do so on the pics . Basically I had both trans standing on end, leaned on 5 gallon buckets . To where the top covers were facing up . I removed both covers , once I did that I right away saw the issue with the 97 trans . If I'm right the clutches were burned up , they are circle looking things that went onto this shaft , it was like a clutch then spacer then clutch .. Again I'm only assuming as I know absolutely nothing at all about transmissions ( trans axles ) . Anyway the upper halves were different . The 07 had some kind of electrical thing that was wrapped pretty much around the shifter linkage . Where the 97 did not have this . So I removed that thing from the 07 ( just literally ripped it out ) and tossed it on the ground . I then removed the entire valve bodies ? What ever it is that's bolted to the top !? And swapped them out along with the trans plug . Put it back together , stuck it in the car and presto ! Car shifts out smooth goes through all gears and I've hit 100mph so far . Gotta see what it'll do you know . Only thing I've noticed is this , coming out of park it goes into neutral , then reverse , then neutral again and finally drive . I don't quite know why , but I'm just happy it runs and moves .. I'm
Just hoping my fuel line rigging holds up long enough , until I can get another one or a better fix on it ....
Brad thank you to you and your wife for the prayers ! That means a lot ! If you'd like to keep up with him , we have him a fb page " Team Bradley " his profile pic is of him standing next to a spotted dog ( person in costume ) . We don't update the page as often as we used to , but now and again we post . Praying in December this year he will be finished with treatments !

Well as my luck would have it , the trans cover has a hairline crack that is leaking fluid . Imagine that .

    Congratulations.

What you did was essentially what you had to do in order for them to work. Swapping the valve bodies and channel plates plus the wiring harness.

On that cover, it's not too bad in the vehicle. Take a look at the 4th clutch hub how to. That'll give you the info on dropping the drivetrain down enough to get the side cover swapped.

Thanks billboost37 ! Question . Where the shifter cable has the clip that adjusts the linkage , if that is out of adjustment , would it make the selector not match up .. Ie: neutral is reverse and 2nd is drive . I don't know a lot about that stuff . Yes I'm an idiot on those things . I only know enough to get me by ! I will check that out about dropping the cradle I am assuming to be able to get to the pan . .. Also do the ac systems in these cars have a reset ? I know some vehicles do .. My ac comp kicks in and had freon , but doesn't get cold.. I appreciate all you guys patience with me and my being a noob !

Use this as a guide to position your pnp properly. I bet it's out of alignment and that's all.

There's no other adjustment on the cable.
