ive heard those actually make hp. any where from 5 to 15 hp claims by most brands.
The link I posted was an independent test performed by Black Bear Performance.
I wish they werent so much money.
Airaid Modular Intake Tube? I paid $132 for mine.
Yeah, thats alot for piece of plastic.
I'm waiting for a demod to happen on the truck forum, then snag it for 50 bucks cheaper prolly.
I went to jyard and got a bunch of stuff to fix my trunk. Hopefully no more leaks now. Cause it smells like dirty gym socks in there mixed with the new car smell sir fresheners!!! Lmao
Thanks "Scott" lol I'll give that a try
"scott" thanks back at ya lol
it works wonders. i had a 55 gal fish tank let go and flood the carpet. place stunk like a pind, all i did was mop and suck the water up, then baking soda and fans. no stink at all after a few days.
put a 3inch zzp catted downpipe on today . the flange to the resonator is so rusted up and out of shape it wouldn't seal. ordered a new flange ,another gasket , and a couple lap clamps , so i guess i'll go ahead and cut off the rusty resonator and weld in a glasspack when i fix the flange. .
also i now think the front mani sounds like it's cracked , but i planned on getting a plog anyway once i get my $50 cat coupon code from zzp.
Starting 2 nights ago I have a wandering idle on cold start up and threw P0133 code. I think my 02 sensor is leaking around the bung. It was cross threaded by a "friend" awhile back and when I took it to a exhaust shop they said they were able to chase the threads and get it to go in. I've been fighting rich LTFTs for awhile, so I think it's my problem. Main problem is finding someone with a Tigg around here.
Where do you guys put the bung in the crossover anyways?
in the clear area between the master and the egr. no o2 extension is needed either. stock plug reaches. mark the pipe with a marker, then drill and weld the bung in.

Boats... I used to build sailboats but mainly bass boats that ran a little faster than they should. We made some 15' 8"-ers that went 85 down the "river lake" with a 115, IIRC. Ranger deck on a HydroSport hull. Down around de bayous and cypress knobs. I want a pirogue, an S-10, and a cane pole. Big fishing would be a trip though, never been out on the ocean but once on a cruise ship. Been trout fishin on the White, though. Thats big in these parts, lol.
Anyway, loving the GTP life today. Props to Super Betty. Oil change, wash, CAF. While I was under there I asked her if the dark puddle mixing with A/C water was anything she needed to tell me about. She swore I was just a broke-arm wuss and didn't really get the drain plug and filter tight last time and said I was forgiven as I wiped off the CV boot. She was still disgruntled about her oil pan dent but I did her like a dog and just looked and touched, so she would feel better about the boo-boo. I was the advocate for wrecked junks all those years so its nice when my own ride whispers happy reports in my ear. Yes I went insane in late January.
I tore hell outta that '67 Ranger at work though, plucking loose cab and bed off next. It was pleasant tearing down that truck, technology from around 1968 seems to be what makes sense to me, and I saw logic in several design features. Most notably the rifle scabbard made into the seat, along the front. Kinda qualifies the whole "Ranger" package on Ford pickups that year. Don't get me wrong, its no Chevy but I enjoy all pre-transistor technology. It still works.
Almost forgot- Betty the GT reportedly might be sufficiently fixed. My buds were gonna play with her toe (ha ha) now that the control arm mount is somewhat corrected, the tie rod looked bent. Damn, I almost forgot I had that thing. Outta sight, outta mind. Hope they don't charge much... they won't.
Me too, today it was a semi changing lanes. Its always somebody gunnin for a man in a shiny black GP. Sometimes they get the drop on me. Done lost my nerve.
My approach was to (A) yeah get all the water out, wipe and dry everything then WD40 the jack for "scent", (B) make holes in the drain plugs under the jack tools to let water out. Of 3 I've bought, all had funktopus water or a rust line halfway up the jack. Dat B fonky smellin plus you get a bonus suprise when a tire goes flat.
Another tip to try on funk smell removal... Set a plate in the car with charcoal briquets and some chopped up fresh fruit on it for a couple days.
Once stink gets in that trunk carpet, it needs lots of air to get out. Hung mine in the garage a couple weeks once.
Semi changing lanes just brought back a memory.
Years ago my cousin and I were in my Stealth. Pretty sure we were heading back home from Massanutten Ski Resort in Virginia. Anyway we are on a busy interstate (maybe 81?) and I am trapped in the right lane by all sorts of traffic and a merging tractor trailer decided he wasn't going to yield to traffic. I downshifted and floored it (as he is still moving left) and just as I was right next to his cab I was able to swerve to the center lane (cutting off the tractor trailer there) to avoid him smashing me. To this day I am not 100% sure how I got out of that unscathed, but it definitely got the heart rate up. My cousin was almost in hysterics.
After we got in the clear he put his window down and stuck his head out and was yelling at the truck, even though he couldn't hear him, but he definitely saw the middle fingers he held up.
That semi today got whine + horn
I had a close call with an overturned semi blocking my lane as I was going 75 on interstate at 3-4 AM limpin the GP home from Kentucky with a leaky block. I glimpsed a reflector, yanked the wheel and saved my life. Would have driven thru the roof into the load and rear axles, not good. Instead I saw "ROADWAY" on it's side go past my passenger window about a foot away. Thank goodness for them yella stripe caffiene pills I found before I took off for home. Bout shat m'self when I realized what just happened. Now with 97-03 lights, I'd have been roadkill.
Plenty o' them stories! Shiny side up from today forward for all, I hope.
