Yeah, I just wanted to make sure nothing was slipping my mind. Figured since I am going to do the rack, that the tie rod ends may as well be replaced since they are starting to show a little wear. And since the car is going to need aligned I figured lets throw the struts and control arms in there. And Monroe has a rebate deal going on now so I went ahead and got the rear struts as well since I will essentially only be paying $80 total for both rear struts once the rebate is factored in.

I've got $578 from Rock Auto and $207 from Advance. I'll get $80 back once I return the rack for a core, and get a $120 Visa Prepaid card for the rebate from Monroe, so for under $600 I'll replace the entire front end as well as the rear struts.

Well if you do get sway bar links, I'd suggest bushings too. I literally built a w body suspension demo out of new parts when I replaced my front end lol

I was actually inspecting the bushings today and they looked good from what I could see. Once I get to do the work though (maybe next weekend) I'll replace them if necessary.

Trans fluid, filter and Trans-go shift kit in the Grand Prix. Pan has been off at least one time before, because it was not the original steel core gasket. I was pleasantly surprised by the little amount of material on the magnet. I get to do it all over in a week or two on the minivan.

Steel... I used some of your logic. There was a question as to who was driving the other car. Cop didn't even believe them. I thought.. let's look for who has the banged up wrists! You taught me that one.

I'd feel better if I wasn't paying so much shipping on a package you made me order

What happened: Buddy had borrowed the truck to snag cabinets, went to make a left down a side street. As he was making the left, he realized there was a dark gray car with no headlights (conditions were rain and dusk, tough visibility) coming the other way and bang. Truck spun 180* wiped out a hydrant and stop sign. Car was an early 00's or late 90's Nissan Sentra. Friend said the girl that told the cop she was driving was not. The one that was supposedly driving had no license.

Waiting for the weather to get a little better before I head out and start probing wires on the car. I need someone else that know schematics and wiring. I'm starting to go cross-eyed from all this ****. I'd say I'm learning a lot, but it's more like a refresher, so I'm refreshing a lot?

I think it was last year, here in AR, that a new law went into effect requiring headlights to be on if wipers MAY be needed. Maybe that'll help your buddy. Last hit I saw like that needed new springs and housing. Eyeball or lay a ruler on an axle tube so you'll know if trouble is coming. At least your tailshaft didn't get crammed. Wait that sounded wrong.

Matt.. it's gonna be a total, trucks only worth around $5K-$6K. Bed, springs, fix cab, probably rear axle with that hit, driveshaft, bumper, gas tank, the list keeps on going. That's what I can see in the pics. Then ... there's the frame possibility.

Oh yea I'm sure its a monetary total. Those things were brand new when I was doing crash work so got real familiar with them. Its a shame how little of a bump on the cab corner it takes to skew the whole cab. If they have nerf bars the inner rocker gets ripped out, etc. Lots of good salvage there, and lots more trucks to get although I bet that un was a good score when you got it. I'll just wish you a prompt and clear-cut settlement with his insurance. Looks like the scene was a spectacle, woulda been a good one for slo-mo. Show us the new rig. Or Camino the Bui-ack.

Sticker was $33-34K, I traded in a 97 GMC 4wd regular cab, 8 foot bed with cracked windshield, pushed in lower edge of bed (tough to see), 88K miles and a few other issues. Walked out the door all done for $15K

After days of figuring out the wiring and tracing voltages and such I have the LEDs done. Halo's and front 194 are on whenever the engine is running, but I kinda like it that way:
