I've put like 400 miles on her in a week and a half. This is the most it's been driven since I've owned it in terms of miles per time and it's not gonna get any lighter for the old girl

Don't wanna use that rack but will try with control arms although one of those was tow-hooked to invert the car and is bent at that big hole in the middle. Tie downs are bent on the frame but hopefully the rest of it is OK.
With a proper shop and two lifts, you bet. I'd also toss the old one on the donor car to hold it's guts in and get the 4x4 back, lol. As you know, it's literally, unbolt the rack and leave it behind, pop balljoints, 4 motor/trans mount nuts, one 10mm for the ps line and or some clips depending on the year and the ps cooler loop size, then the 4 18mm bolt that hold it up. If you've supported it from above you won't get squished flat. Oh..those abs wires, you should have unclipped them, it's ok..you know how to solder.

Got the owners manuals in. Read them cover to cover and learned a few things for sure. One was the no need to pull your keys out door lock button on the handle. Another was the location of the bad front cig lighter fuse. Then replaced the top of the MMI (aka toyland control knob) with a new one I bought. Looked at the "major service" that is due.

    Look over the whole car
Replace brake fluid with a full flush
    Replace the cabin air filter

Last Friday the WeatherTech floor mats and cargo liner came in.

Only things I currently am waiting for are the FSM's, cabin air filter (ordered last night) and.. on the 20th it gets tinted.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

i had water hitting me in the face lol nothing metal chip wise came near my eyes. and no goggles were worn.

they use a magnet to pull the metal out? a friend had metal in his eye they used a magnet to pull it out. was pretty cool i thought. not to happen to you, but a cool idea for removal.

Water, huh? Thought you were porting?

I tried a magnet. Have some badass neodymium magnets. No luck. They used qtip and a pick. Go back tomorrow to see if they have to drill the rest out.

Lol. Here I thought you were using some high tech water jet porting machine.

I think these are great for the money. Comes with two arbors. I used a little over a dozen rolls.

Well the gp i just bought, makes a grinding sound when going to left on highway, i replaced both right wheel bearings, and the left rear wheel bearing. could it be the front left wheel bearing making the noise?

I got mad, so i started putting shocks and struts on my g6, my impact wrench broke the rear shock bolt that comes off the frame right in half. So figuring if i can hit it out with a hammer, or if i have to drill it out.

check the metal piece that holds the abs plug and make sure its not touching the brake rotor. or if it is coming from the rear the brake backing plate. On a 98 i had that rear piece was so rusted it was just kind of sitting in there grinding on the rotor when it felt like it.

Could be. Recently replaced them in my van. Thought for sure it was front pass. Had all the symptoms. Even had a mechanic buddy ride with me and he had same opinion. Spinning the wheels you really couldn't tell. No give away. Replaced it and noise still there. Turned out to be driver front. Wouldn't be a big deal but they were press in bearings, and I have no press.

But seems like front to rear would be a little easier to catch. Maybe lay down rear seats and have someone crawl around the car. But I've always found rear ones just by spinning tire.
