I haven't done anything to the GTP since putting a cone filter on, which impressed the rice fans at work. I did roll past 258K this week and left the longest black marks ever in it. Am a little excited about the work project though, tires came in finally so I can build tubs. Still can't make pics appear on the new site so click blog link if curious.

Gathering parts for the LS6 intake swap. All I need now is fittings, o-rings and an TB adapter. Figure I might have ICT Billet make the TB Adapter since they are in town and already make a similar LS style adapter.

Finally got a chance to detail the insides of both the Bonneville and the Vic. Looked horrible. Also washed the Vic. Nice to see some shine back on it again.

Installed some different anti-pogo washers on the front of the GP since the others I had didn't seem to fit right. Much better and I think the struts are finally doing their job now at least until the Eibachs kill em.

Watched the Bonneville roll 299K as well. Time for an oil change soon. She just keeps clicking off the miles

Sweet. I'd have thanked you but don't have permission. Had to open your vid in google play, is that normal? GPF ain't the same without hassle-free pics and vids.

yeah the site wont direct link google crap. pretty sure they would just have to add the extension.

one the link opens you need to click the vid for sound.

next time out will be better, this is a whole new tune and i leaned out into the 13's, could feel it loose power at 90 mph up. it had some kr up top, so i cut timing back to 19 that left me with one degree kr. wish id seen the wb was leaning out. or id have made the maf adjustment many runs before.

also need to check my meth injector, it might be clogged up. i didnt seem to use very much being i made 6 passes last night.

Looks great scotty. Wish my 00 suburban had those to cover up the rear quarter panel rust thats seems to show up at 13-15 years old.

thats the selling point on ebay lol covers up rust. i dont have any rust there, but i like the look so much better.

how it looks with out. truth be told, the pass fender looks to have been kissed a bit, has a flat area at the top of the wheel well. the flare covers it up nice

On the Limited GTP I bought last year, I installed a ZZP downpipe, and a stainless steel mandrel bend cat-back exhaust, Magnaflow RES, Flowmaster mufflers, dual/dual exhaust tips. I love how the exhaust sounds. It is much more loud than I expected especially when putting the throttle down. But at idle, it is barely noticeable.
I bought this Limited GTP because of the super low price that a local was selling it for, and I had not intended to do any mods at all on it, but I love the shine of the blue/black metallic paint, and the ride comfort.
This GTP has turned out to be a big surprise as a performer for a daily driver!

Alright!! Time to get rid of my janky suspension, except I can't get these bolts to budge whatsoever. The nuts spun off without the bolt spinning at all (or even needing to hold them). I guess I'll just have to keep soaking them in some penetrating fluid and bash them out with a rock.

A little heat and a big hammer should do the trick.

^^ What Bronco said. Also, the bolts are splined, so they will never turn. You will need a sludge hammer to get them out. You will need to deliver some serious blows to the end of that bolt. Multiple, seriously hard blows with the hammer, repeatedly. Don't be scared. Don't remove any other bolts until you get these loose, you need the other bolts to keep everything stiff.

Before pounding the bolts out, make sure that nut is all the way at the end of the bolt, at the very end of the thread, so you don't damage the bolt end. It will mushroom on ya, and then you have more problems. For the first couple blows, I would double-up the nut. Take the one of the bottom bolt, and double them up on the top bolt you are hitting to provide extra support. Once it starts moving, go back to 1 nut.
