Getting ready to tint my back window on my 06. Got the seats, package tray and speakers out. Nice and easy to get to. Then prepped the window with fine steel wool, lots of crap came off the antenna strips. Kept wiping til the rag stayed clean. Now I have to wash my car and start shrinking.

if it is, you need -000 steel wool and scrub the lines and glass good, then wash it down good as per your prep stages for tinting. same goes for the black outline around the glass, steel wool scrub will let the tint stick much better.
The bubble is actually from the past owner putting a sucker on the inside of the back windshield on top of the front and when someone took it off it made a bubble and its only gotten worse

Tore down the $500 car in an attempt to find out why it missed bad on #5 and pissed coolant everywhere. Well, every top end gasket is ****. Either the previous owner reused every single gasket or did such a hack job... It's a miracle the engine isn't blown. In any case, new gaskets are on order and hopefully this car gets put back together next weekend.

Washed, waxed and buffed the grand prix on Sunday, spent about 4 hours detailing it in total and then a bird decided to mark the back window lol

Put about a hour into it today.. I suspected one of the valves were burnt so I dropped the heads off at the machine shop during work, turns out the burnt valve was bent so they went ahead and replaced it, I cleaned and painted them, along with the gasket the heads are sitting on the block just haven't tighten and torqued the bolts down I'll do that another day.

Well I was at it, cleaned the little gunk off the pistons

Added stuff to the list for my transmission build. I'm up to gaskets, all the clutch stacks, weld the reluctor wheel to the driven gear, and a new diff. I'm sure it'll get to be a bigger list. Oh, and a torque converter.

Booo cleaning up the togs and found this. Thought just the flange needed rewelded. Going to need a whole new flange and the hangers straightened out. I think I might buy a zzp flex and have it welded on before the cat too.

And rest of the flanges, I hope they seal. These were sitting around for a while.

Heard a loud pop noise while driving, no clue what it was so I marked it on the dash cam. Reviewed the footage and you can see a stone fly right at my windshield. Gonna have to check it tomorrow.

You shouldn't need a new flange, it's metal and you can work with it.

If you have a belt sander, you could make it right again. Or even a regular grinder and make it flush again. The metal isn't super thick either and will bend and smoosh. I'd slap a new gasket or even double up the gasket and run them bolts down tight.

Got pulled over, not for speeding (as I was doing), but because apparently none of my clearance lights work (fogs and rear), but the fogs work in park and the taillights for blinker and brake work... This a fuse problem?

Tore apart the HUD in my 04, found salt from the ocean on the button circuit board.... I'm hoping that I got it cleaned up enough, because there's no junkyards up here that have another HUD...

It would need rewelded either way, it's got a good size crack in the welds.
