And just like that, I'm back in the GP game after a six month hiatus. During that intervening time I sold all my extra cars to buy a house...
Put a built trans in it without dicking anything up for once. Couldn't be happier right now.
Front & rear lower door moldings on the passenger side were pulling away from the doors. Removed, cleaned everything up and replaced using 3M molding tape.
Fed Ex delivered the new LCA's, outer tie rods, and a new AC/Delco upstream O2.
It can be a tedious job. I took my time and with the help of a heat gun and some rubbing alcohol, plastic knife and a few sore fingers, it worked out well. I was a professional cleaner for many years which helped me not rush the job and do it right. The rear door molding was separated to the point it would bind on the front door when my daughter tried to get in. It's all good now. I used some touch up paint on the door emblem afterwards as well.
Back is done. Cleaning up the front.
All set. I'm happy with how it came out.

Im bored. Figured i would stop in and say wasssup. I seen my old grand prix that i sold for 5600, and sold the set of rims for 450$, so 6050$ for a 01 with 72K miles at the time. I actually was right up next to it and we stepped on it. My g6 smoked it on a 25 roll to about 60. Its a gt, but has reptile tune, zzp dp, cai. I had that car going 140 a couple times, sadly my g6 goes 107 and done.
Heres what I did to my g6 yesterday, the lower grill is next.

Picked up a 2nd top swap for it for $150. I just needed the rails, injectors and heads. I need to replace the coupler on the Gen 3 I got with it, friend gave me a good used coupler for free. Hopefully I can get that sold make a little money back.
I used grey when I did mine.. Good enough

the bubble on the defroster lines or antenna lines as it maybe? hard to tell in the pic.
if it is, you need -000 steel wool and scrub the lines and glass good, then wash it down good as per your prep stages for tinting. same goes for the black outline around the glass, steel wool scrub will let the tint stick much better.
Started getting the heads cleaned/disassembled
Yay
