Evil 3400 Monte parts came in today.
Sent from my Galaxy S5
I have now compiled a 3/8" stainless steel fuel line, 255lph walbro fuel pump, a fuel filter, and a disassembled/broken throttle body.
The camaro is soon to be fuel leak free

Pulled timing cover off, woot VS Cam still looks perfect I'll be reusing that once I find a motor.
Put passenger side sway bar links on, tie rod. The tie rod nut just sat spinning after i got it loose, so grinded it off. Not sure why some cars do this to me, some come right off. Happened handfull of times on different cars now.
Got my passenger fender almost off. I just need to take the one bolt thats connected to the hood, and it will pop off and i can put the new one on.
Exhaust the same size on the impalas as grand prixs? My resonator has a hole in it and the car is loud. I can see the exhaust coming out of it. I may try some of that clay-weld stuff and see if that helps. Should be driving the car around this weekend once I get my t-stat, t-stat gasket in the mail.
Next time the tie rod nut just spins use a pry bar and pry down on the top of the tie rod and it should come off.
new cat back showed up this morning.
took the bumper off once again, cut the dumb Bosch ic power plug off and soldered the wires right to the pins. enough of that work when you want to crap.
plastic didnt like the blow torch either lol the pin were boxed in, i cut the side off with a cut off wheel. and had at it.

i got one but turns out the HF soldering irons only last so many jobs, time to buy a real name brand. so went all propane torch lol
them wires aint coming off i tugged on em pretty damn hard. and theres nothing to pull on them the way i got em wired up.
i must say, the pump turns on much quicker now, it just kicks on now.
resealed the res tank ports too, installing that flow detector was to much movement on the hoses and one started to seep. thats sitting bone dry till tomorrow morning so it can cure good.
the flow detector was a bust, it worked during testing, then i wired it all up permanently and it dont work no more, did the head scratch, went over it all and then started sticking wires with a test light. nothing coming out of the flow detector. smoked it some how.
and it greatly reduced the flow. aka restriction. something else needs to be found. learned a 5 dollar lesson, but its all wired up now. just need a new detector.
Wipe the soldering iron tip with a lightly wet sponge before and after every use. It's not about the physical strength of the connection, it's about the connection's surface area. That's why you tin the wire first. You want solder touching every copper strand you can, and as much of that pin that you can (within reason, if you want I can elaborate more).
PS, I might be blunt and a down right asshole for a few days, I got the worst news of my life last night.
i just told a story of restriction in the flow and it lasted all of 5 minutes? why would you want it?
this is what i got tho http://www.ebay.com/itm/221972762127...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
iirc it was jamesivey who is using this one now, and its working for him still i guess, but the flow restriction is a big deal to me.
i understand what your saying, problem is the iron dont get hot no more, more like warm only.
so i tinned the wires best you can with a big torch, laid a few drops of solder on the tinned wire, fluxed the tab, then heated both up and laid it on the tab. once it cooled, stuck like glue.
its ugly, but i feel good about it, and i feel i can trust the damn pump is on and working. that plug it comes with is 100% crap.
