Rolled GTP past 228K, drove it 250 miles. Real nice weather for it. This is more than I've driven this car in one day and tomorrow is a repeat. DIC said 29.6 mpg for the day, so that probably means a legit 27.

Repainted the steering wheel trim, along with the faded/powdered trim. I just got a rotary buffer, now I need to make her pretty..

Getting a bit of a misfire so I'm thinking it's time to change the plugs and wires, with the coil causing the issues with the ICM last month this may be what is causing the new misfire, I'm hoping it caused some damage to one of the wires and a new set will cure things. No CEL or anything just the occasional feel of cutting out under load.

GTP made it back, 575 mlles round trip. No issues, 28 MPG with strong crosswinds. Its my trusty interstate Pontiac and we have lots of stories together now lol

Was tooling along on wide open 65 MPH two-lane and a white Ram zooms right up on me going about 80. Not another car to be seen. I stayed at 68 for a few miles and this Ram is just like trading paint with me the whole time. Would not pass me nor back off. So I floored to to about 95 and shook him off enough to see the light bar. Light bar? No chit, fullsize Rams now? OK. Didn't take a mile until we were trading paint again after I backed off.

So OK, 65 I say. Miles pass but the Ram won't. 63? No pass. 60! No pass, just tailgate. They were on the gas and off it, but absolutely would not pass despite consistent 3/4 mile visibility. Alright, 55 then... 50? Nope. Screw it, we went about five miles just creeping along at 50-55 so I finally pulled onto the shoulder. Zoomed past me about four feet away and he zipped up to 90 or so. Yep, county. He just hauled ass to the next bumper and rode on it too. He might have been OK with 100 MPH cruise but I wasn't gonna find out. All drivers are terrorists now, even out in the middle of nowhere they drive in clumps. Dumbasses!

All I see is money on the ground. LOL

I had a similar leak a few years ago on my F-250; parked the truck on the side of the road, saw the leak and was going to deal with it up after working on the car. 30 minutes later, I look at the truck and see some lady walking right through the gas on the pavement. Really? !?! She then yells at me about the leak and blames me for wrecking her new shoes. Really? !?! We barked back and forth before I went under the car to get away from her stupidity.

Looks like a good spot for a fire burnout! That tire might have a bad spot now.

While my hand is in the smiley bucket, I'll remind everyone that

Yeah. So hey, is this badass at all? Friend Mike built it and its LS powered and the perimeter of the body is actually square steel tubing attached to the chassis. So it will lean on or scrape past trees all day. Over the weekend, he finished it up so now its ready for a license plate. He is geek-melting pretty hard on it, I would be too.

So you're saying I should park it in the grass if I want to save that tire.

Man that would be a yard brown-out for sure lol. I was thinking about how rubber gets soft when wet with gas but also this:

I'm the opposite man. I'm hoping it rains because I was too busy with the transmission to wash mine this weekend and she's filthy so rain would probably help me right now
