All those older volvo motors can handle boost, if anything drop some new pistons and rods in it to handle the power.

Tube front end, cage, Mustang rack, narrowed Explorer axle, turbo LS, done. :D Get to the junkyard!
Thats the drivetrain of choice lol. Pretty much any car can be wrapped around that and its a win. It sure could be true that the little German engine will take some hell though. Easiest cheapest thing is always a carbed gen1 SBC if you're chop cut rebuilding. I don't know what that car looks like though. Last Vulva I worked on totalled after I had 44 hrs in it so meh.
gf got the car tinted for my christmas present yesterday. just snagged a gen V off ebay for less than what it'll cost me to rebuild my junk yard blower. been a good week!
installed 42 lb injectors today. and the 3.0 pulley.
something like that. minus the wheel spin, i need my tires.
put your winter wheels on, they will hook.
no they wont, they spin like butter. and id like to keep the treads on those too lol
the snow tires may not even make it on this year. maybe if i see a huge storm coming.
Scotty now you need a Gordon Lightfoot album to play in the car so you won't crowd it too hard lol. KillaBee 3.0! I bet those injectors and the wee pulley make the midrange RPM feel juicy as hell. Hit it easy, man. Got dry roads to tune around on?
i can hear it sucking air in the intake like a blower should sound at idle now lol
i think im gonna toss the 2.8 on tomorrow for sh its and giggles.
Blew the power steering line this morning, well at least I am assuming it is the line, the fluid is coming out of the passenger side in and around where the line runs along the frame, so either line or pump lol, great way to end the year. Couldn't even buy a replacement as all the auto parts places around here closed at noon
If my memory is correct , I ran a 3.0, gen5 , North Star TB, fsic, 42s and a 3.0 on a stock cam.
It wasn't until i went to a s1x cam did my input shafts snap and the clutches not hold at 6,000 rpm
I stared at my car with hopes and dreams. While it sits in my garage waiting for winter to go away.
I flipped my friends dog bone bushings. His were strangely harder than mine were. Nevertheless, we got it done.
Ill just leave this here:
