I'm thinking that the booster may have made it a bit easier overall.

What's the problem? GM left JUST enough room to barely get in there. LOL
All done and home. Reinstallation was easy. Ac blows a little colder and more importantly gets cold much faster. The old one was all black and gummed up. My instructor asked if he could have it since there was a screw in the end of it from me extracting it lol. It tells a story, he said. Sure does
Way to go, Blue! When the job is a knuckle buster it sure does help when it works right afterwards. Wonder what all kinds of storytelling doodads teach has. Glad you nailed it, heater core was like that for me other day.
Thanks, and same to you on the heater core. I've done one of those in an 06 gp. Wasn't particularly fun, especially in 85° and humid.
Replaced the spark plugs and washed and waxed the body.
I have a problem with a loud clunk in the front of the car when going from park to reverse, it doesn't happen until I start backing up. I have talked to several mechanics and they thought it was ball joints or wheel barrings, so I replaced the lower control arms and the barrings, I saw that the anti sway bar bushings and end bushings looked worn, so I replaced them too, but still I am getting the clunk. I now think that it may be the body bushings or body mounts, but all I can find on line is the forward ones, does anyone know where I can find a full set of bushings for a good price, and any comments or theories about what else the noise could be are very welcome. This may not be the appropriate place to post this, but I can never figure out how to start a new thread. I should mention that the transmission was rebuilt a couple of years ago and the motor and trans mounts were replaced at the time, also I replaced the upper strut mounts with poly urethane, so that is not the issue. Thanks in advance.
I replaced the lower engine and trans mounts, mentioned it in the original post. They are only a couple of years old 2.5 at most, I do have a small leak in the rear valve cover, but it doesn't appear to be making it to the motor mount, even though G.M seems to have somehow designed the car so that all oil leaks end up flowing into the motor mount. I had a mech look at it while I bumped the gas, little movement in R or D.
sway bar bushings also go bad and clunk, the ones under the cap holding it to the frame. ball joints can also clunk if bad enough, but i think you'd feel the front end clunks over bumps too.
to post a thread you find the section you want to post in, then click post new thread top left of the window, its a big red button.
in the original post I mentioned that I replaced the entire control arm, which contains new bushings and the ball joint, I also mentioned that I replaced the anti sway bar bushings and the end bushings for the anti sway bar.
Have someone under the hood and go from reverse to drive.
In my reply to Wiley, I mentioned that I have already done this.

Thanks for the help, I am now better acquainted with how the site works, and have made a new thread for this issue in the suspension area.
