one fire hazard to another lol
napa has the fittings, or your local hardware store. napa ran out of the brake line size i needed, so ace had a load of them.

So the dealer will just change one vc gasket for you and leave the other untouched

Okay, I'll check at Napa and Ace.
What exactly does this recall do? Do I need to do something after it?
What kind of car do ya have?
'99 gtp
They'll replace the front valve cover gasket. You should do the rear one after because its possible its leaking too.
You should not let em do either and just spend $30..$20 if you use a coupon code and change them both out yourself.

http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...ket-grand-prix Looks like I can do that.
Coupon Code? Where should I buy vc gaskets?
You can buy them online at advanced auto and pick them up in store and use P20 iirc for 20% off.
I used felpro vc gaskets and grommets
We got O'Reilly, Auto Value, Napa, Hedahls, and Advanced Auto Care (but they look like a Napa Auto center http://fergusfallsautocare.com/).
Okay.
Actually, my parents are coming through Brainerd in a couple days - they got an Advanced Auto. Should be able to get 'em from them. Called up O'Reilly and they want $60 for the set, and Auto Value wanted $55. Other places didn't answer.
Sat @ an intersection & watched as the MPH needle bounced around like crazy, the radio volume went up & down also like crazy. And when the light turned green the car didn't want to move. This happens a lot now. When it happens at night all the lights dim. Do I feel like getting messy & finding the solution to the problem? Yes, but not right now.
Maybe a bad PCM. There was a video on YouTube I saw and it had similar problems to yours. Try putting in a known good PCM to see if it fixes your problem. If it does, now you know you need a new PCM.
Hello all. This is my first post. Sorry if it is in the wrong place.----This weekend I was able to fix my wife's abs warning light issue on her 2004 gtp. I want to thank all members on this forum for helping me to diagnose and repair a bad abs wire on my wife 2004 gtp comp g. It has been giving the ABS off light warning for years. I have had multiple wheel bearing replaced and it would work for a month or so and then fail. (I bet the mechanics were having lots of fun with me.) By searching this forum i learned how to test the sensors and the wires. I would still be paying a mechanic to replace the wheel bearings again if it were not for this forum. Instead I fixed it for about 25 cents. I will be donating. Thanks again.
I rotated my tires on g6, the wheel shake did go away, but the grinding sound, almost sounds like when your hitting a gust of wind, but more metallic, is still there. It would shake the wheel going 50-60 or so, then go away, then griding sound 70-80.
I rotated them, no steering shake, but when i had it going 75 on the highway, still heard it, got the car to 95 and it didn't go away, doesnt make the sound when im going 60-65 it seems, or its very slight sound. I put two front hubs on it about 6-7k miles ago, replaced the two rear wheel hubs two days ago, and the sound did not go away.
im doing a trans swap on a friends exploder, we needed a trans jack. so we built one out of some scrap metal we had laying around.
the new used tranny came in so we had something right on hand to mock up to.
the white plate is bolted on with the jacks cup.
this is the tranny just balanced on the jack all on its own. we're not welding it till we do a dry run on the truck in the air so we know it will reach it. if we need to make it taller or shim the front or back higher thats no problem really.
100 internet points if any one has a clue wtf the white metal bottom part is from. its from some old power equipment lol
